Here’s a ‘lil information about this month’s featured artist:
For Jason Rogers, music has always been a central part of life. Growing up in a small, rural community in eastern Canada, Jason’s character was rooted in a simple, less complicated way of life that has always been intrinsic to country music. Jason’s passion for music first displayed when, at age two, he began performing Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy” for his parents and any company that may have happened by the house. This desire to perform drove Jason to become accomplished in playing piano, guitar, and percussion instruments and at age 25 he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music.
After winning the international 2007 Country Song of the Year supporting VH-1’s Save the Music with his song “Breathe Into Me” and completing and releasing his critically acclaimed self-titled cd in early 2009, Jason has spent the year promoting his cd and has been written up in several dozen publications worldwide. Jason is currently being played on the radio in 15 countries and his recent signing of a contract with Cashbox Records will further open many doors for him. Jason Rogers self-titled cd will be re-released in January 2010 by Cashbox Records ( A division of Cashbox Magazine & Cashbox Canada )
